AUDIBLE

Innovation Cathedral

Working closely with design firm, Pentagram, and fabrication partner, ASTOUND Group, Audible restored an 80,000-square-foot 1913 church and modernized it with open workspace, a four-lane bowling alley, and cafes. Dubbed the Innovation Cathedral, the new offices on Washington Street will hold 400 employees. The Innovation Cathedral is a proud landmark for Newark and a powerful symbol of Audible’s commitment to the city for more than a decade.
The full renovation includes several permanent features that are installed directly onto the interior of the historic building. The largest component is the 30’ feature display wall which spans three full stories in the center of the cathedral. At the lowest level of the display wall, a freestanding display case was included with operable glass top, 3” display space and concealed LED features. The feature wall itself incorporates an inset video niche for multimedia along with two inset light boxes that display face-mounted dimensional lettering. An additional feature of the renovation is the AUDIBOWL bowling alley which features eight oversized wall-mounted can letters.
