Eagle Sculpture
As the approved option for the required public art component of the BackStage Condo development in downtown Toronto, a massive sculptural representation of an eagle was to be mounted directly to the side of the new condo building. Working from an artist’s 3D representation, the sculpture was engineered and fabricated in-house to withstand wind, water and UV damages.
The scale of the eagle sculpture is large enough to be seen from quite a distance and is located at a busy intersection where it has become a signature architectural feature of the condo onto which is resides. The sculpture itself is painted to match the brickwork of the condo to achieve a seamless and unified appearance for that part of the building.
